I am JJ: 'In The Land of Can I do lots of things... but when I can't, I keep trying.'

Over the past few months, I have had the amazing opportunity to introduce many, many young people to The Land of Can! During a recent presentation at Nitrauer Elementary, in the Manheim Township School District in Lancaster, Pa., I read my book Land of Not and talked about the importance of identifying yourself by who you are and who you can be, not by who you’re not. It was a lot of fun!

Last week, a packet of “Thank You” notes arrived at my door. As I read each note, it was clear. This group of second graders embraces the message of CAN! They will go far.

Thank you to the administrators and teachers in the Manheim Township School District for opening your doors. And, most important of all, thank you to the second graders at Nitrauer Elementary School for being such gracious hosts.
