Food Allergy Can Opener: Ilana Golant and Food Allergy Fund
Yesterday was an important day for the food allergy community. It was the very first annual Food Allergy Fund Summit. Food allergy researchers, innovators, advocates, and thought leaders met at the Paley Center for Media in New York City. I was honored to attend! It was a day of refreshing, motivating, and informative discussions, and it was all thanks to the brains behind the summit: Ilana Golant and her team.
I first spoke with Ilana when she founded Food Allergy Fund last year, and I was immediately impressed and excited by her vision: a truly united and collaborative food allergy community. But an impressive vision is one thing; Ilana gets down to business. I admire her instrumentality. Her ability to make things happen inspires us all!
I also appreciate that she gave The Land of Can a platform at the event. It illustrates the importance of lifting the voices of young advocates in the community.
Today’s can opener is Ilana Golant and her team of wonderful advocates for spearheading the incredible event! Check out www.foodallergyfund.org for more info.
